ABOUT: John

With 25+ years in customer service and sales in London, I often dreamed of escaping the hustle and grind of city life.

In April 2015, an opportunity arose to start a small hot tub company in my hometown with a school friend. I knew nothing about the industry, but after months of hard work, we secured a supplier and started selling hot tubs.

By May 2017, I took the leap and launched Platinum Hot Tubs, fulfilling my dream of working alongside my wife and close friends. Our mission: to offer the best products and aftercare in the industry.

I quickly saw a common issue—many dealers sold great products but neglected customers post-sale. I was determined to do things differently.

Now, seven years on, Platinum Hot Tubs has grown beyond expectations. We’ve expanded, built a fantastic team, and won a few awards along the way.

Today, I’m living the dream—spending time with family and friends, doing work I love.

About: Dani

After a career in office administration and sales—where I met my husband and business partner, John — I joined our growing business, Platinum Hot Tubs, full-time in 2022.  My husband started the company in 2017, and as it expanded, I stepped in to manage the administrative side.

A lot of people say they could never work with their partner, but for us, it is brilliant — we love it! We make a wonderful team, and working together has only made us stronger.  Even our Labrador, Sonny Bear, comes to work with us.  He is the perfect company mascot and a favourite among our customers!

As a family-based business, we want our customers to feel like part of the family.  Even one of our best friends works with us!  We look forward to the future, growing Platinum Hot Tubs, and maybe even one day welcoming our daughter into the team.

Meet the Manager: Adam

After 20 years in education, shifting to retail was a refreshing change. The chance to build a business with friends was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

I started by supporting John, helping set up the retail space, designing materials, and building the first website. Over time, I took on sales and operations.

Today, we’ve expanded beyond hot tubs to Swim Spas saunas, chill tubs, all focused-on health, and wellbeing. With exciting new partnerships ahead, the future looks bright.

And best of all, I’m still working with my friend.

Over a decade ago, my journey with hot tubs began in the stunning French Alps, where I started working with them during the summer months. What began as a unique opportunity quickly turned into a passion.

With more than 10 years hands-on experience, I’ve worked with the vast majority of hot tub and swim spa makes and models. From routine maintenance to tackling complex technical challenges, I’ve become the go-to person when things get tricky. As a bit of a tech geek, I thrive on troubleshooting and finding innovative ways to help customers get the most out of their hot tubs or swim spa.

Today, I’m proud to head up Platinum Hot Tub Services, where I lead a dedicated team of engineers. Together, we bring expertise and a customer-first approach to every job, ensuring exceptional service and support at every step. Whether it’s a straightforward service or a technical issue, we are committed to providing solutions that exceed expectations.
